1. Request a Legl Account

To request a Legl account, simply email [email protected] (from your firm email address) with “Create Legl Account” in the title and we’ll send you over a secure invitation right away.

Once you've created an account, you'll always be able to log in here. We recommend to keep the link bookmarked for easy access.

2. Your Legl Account Dashboard

After logging in, you'll land on your Dashboard. This page gives you an overview of the tools that Legl offers. You're currently using CrowdJustice and Convert (which we'll explore in a moment) but we're very happy to talk to you about our Payments and Group Claims tools. Simply click "Learn More" to get in touch with our team.

In the CrowdJustice section of your Dashboard (as seen above), you'll find the number of matters that your firm has funded through CrowdJustice as well as the total funds raised to date.

You also have quick access to your client list and the "Invite A Client" function.

3. Managing your CrowdJustice matters

On the left-hand side menu, click the CrowdJustice icon to view a list of your all your matters.

Click into each matter to view:

a.  Case page analytics including page views and backer demographics
b. Weekly transfer receipts that show how much has been transferred to your firm's client account for this matter
c.  Any emails sent to backer or updates posted on the case page by your client

Note that you can also view the matters being funded by other lawyers at your firm by clicking "My firm's cases" in the left-hand side menu.

4. Managing your CrowdJustice clients

On the left-hand side menu, click "My clients" to view a list of your clients using CrowdJustice. Here you can keep track of what stage each client is at in the fundraising process.

Inviting clients

Clicking "Invite a client" will allow you to easily email your client with information about CrowdJustice, or if you prefer you can also copy and paste a link to include in a personal email to them. Once your client has signed up to CrowdJustice, our expert Campaigns Team will do the rest.

5. Using CrowdJustice Convert

On the left-hand side menu, click the Convert icon to invite prospective clients to use CrowdJustice.

The tool enables you to offer CrowdJustice as a funding option to prospective clients who have not yet instructed you. They can fundraise through CrowdJustice and you can accept instruction pending the funding target being hit.

6. Resources for you and your clients

On the left-hand side menu, click the Resources icon.

This section includes exclusive resources including sample text for your client care letter, as well as handy one-page documents which explain how CrowdJustice works to provide to your clients.

If you have any questions about how your Legl Account works, don't hesitate to contact us on [email protected].
