Who can complete the verification process?

The information must be provided by an executive or senior manager of the firm. “This person needs to have significant management responsibility or control over the organisation, and be authorised to agree to Stripe’s terms.

Stripe explains that “individuals considered to “exercise significant control” over your company are those responsible for managing and directing the business and may include executive officers or senior managers, such as CEO, CFO, COO, Managing Member, General Partner, President, Vice President, or Treasurer.”

We’ve already received funds via CrowdJustice, why do we need to provide further information?

We are changing the structure of our organisation, which means that we will need to re-onboard all the law firms that we work with. In order to continue to receive payment from CrowdJustice campaigns, you will need to provide further information required by our FCA-regulated payment processor, Stripe.

How do you store the information requested?

CrowdJustice does not store the additional KYC information that you provide, this is uploaded directly to Stripe. Stripe uses best-in-class security tools, is certified to a PCI Service Provider Level 1 and uses HTTPS and HSTS for all services. How does this affect donations made towards my clients’ cases on CrowdJustice?

As long as you provide the information needed within 30 days of receipt of our email request, this will not affect your clients or donations.

All you need to do is take 10-15 minutes to provide Stripe with the necessary information by following the steps outlined here. If you do not fill out the information before the deadline, we may have to pause donations on your client’s campaign.
